Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Halo when you use our site and application.

Last updated: 9 July 2026

Agreement

By using Halo's website or application, you agree to these terms. If you are using Halo on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to accept these terms for that business.

The service

Halo aggregates your reviews, drafts replies in your brand voice, and reports on rating and sentiment. Additional capabilities — such as automatically publishing approved replies and requesting reviews from your customers by SMS and email — may be offered as they become available. Some actions, such as publishing replies to sensitive reviews, require your approval depending on your settings. You are responsible for the replies and requests that go out from your account.

Your responsibilities

  • Provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure.
  • Only connect review sources you are authorized to manage.
  • Comply with the terms of the platforms you connect (Google, Yelp, and others) and applicable law.
  • Do not use Halo to post misleading, fake, or abusive content.

Subscriptions & billing

Paid plans are a flat fee that scales by location count, with no per-review or per-reply fees. You choose monthly or yearly billing at checkout. Yearly is charged once, up front, for twelve months of service at the discount shown on the Pricing page, which also carries the current rates. All prices are in AUD.

Free trial. Paid plans start with a 7-day free trial, one per business. A payment method is collected at signup and nothing is charged during the trial. Unless you cancel before it ends, the plan begins automatically and the first charge is taken then, for the billing period you selected.

Changes and cancellation. You can change plan or location count at any time from your dashboard; changes are prorated against what you have already paid. Cancelling stops the next renewal rather than ending service immediately: your plan keeps running to the end of the period you have paid for, and then reverts to the free plan. We do not refund the unused part of a period, including a yearly one, so cancel before a renewal if you do not want it.

Failed payments. If a renewal is declined we keep your account working while the payment is retried, and will contact you. If it is not resolved, the account returns to the free plan.

Acceptable use

You may not misuse the service — including attempting to disrupt it, access it without authorization, or use it to violate the rights of others or the policies of connected platforms. We may suspend accounts that do.

Intellectual property

Halo and its software, design, and content remain our property. Your business content — your reviews, replies, and data — remains yours. You grant us the permissions needed to operate the service on your behalf.

Disclaimers & liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding twelve months. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law, including Australian Consumer Law.

Changes & termination

We may update these terms or the service over time; material changes will be reflected in the date above. You may stop using Halo at any time, and we may suspend or end access where these terms are breached.
